Meet the Owner
Cynthia McConahy, also known as CJ, moved from the Mojave Desert to the Iron Range in her late teens circa 1998. She was a Stay-At-Home-Mom for many years, and later held a Minnesota General Contractor’s License. She started out painting her own home and found that she enjoyed it. Friends and family started asking her to paint for them. In the spring of 2014 she started working as a paraprofessional and due to the seasonal nature of working in education, she started professionally painting as a summer side gig. She worked in the public school system for nine years, eventually working towards and achieving her Minnesota Teaching License with a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education: Academic and Behavioral Specialist Birth-21 and General Education K-6. In the spring of 2023 she made the choice to leave education at the end of the 2023 Summer School season and paint full time. Revive Painting LLC was born in April 2023.
"Cynthia does a phenomenal job! We had bought a house to flip in 2020 that had been destroyed with decades of poor judgment and the wrong kinds of paints. On our banister alone we had 6 different colors/stains. The texture was terrible and I thought we would have to tear them out at one point, but Cynthia did her magic! They are beautiful. She went on to do several more rooms for us which turned out perfectly! We have since moved into our forever home and we will be keeping her busy again very soon!" - Grace S.
